TED Talk: Teach teachers how to create magic

All of my favourite and most memorable teachers have had the magical quality referenced in the video, from my high school English teacher who would break out into Shakespeare and my Chemistry teacher who would often begin class with some sort of explosion instead of a lecture.  It's the ability to engage a room full of people, as described by Christopher Emdin in this TED Talk. It's very interesting how little emphasis is placed on training these personality skills when they are so useful outside of the classroom. I think it's obvious how useful they would be in all classrooms.

I don't consider myself to naturally possess exceptional skills in regards to captivating audiences, but this has caused reflection on what I can do to amplify myself. I am definitely encouraged by the fact that they can be learned and will definitely increase my efforts towards developing these skills.
